Today I send you My Mum‘s Pizza Recipe! It is all simple and delicious!
Pizza is a food to share. The more people in a pizza dinning table, the more fun it is! Italians adore having pizza nights with some beer and a lot of friends. You can top your pizza with your favorite ingredients, the basic ones are: mozzarella, tomato sauce and oregano.
- Preparation Time: 30 mins
- Cooking Time: 10 mins per pizza
- Total Time: 2h and 30 mins (including yeast fermentation)
This are the ingredients for 8 people:
- 1 kg (3.27oz) of wheat flour type 0 (if you don’t have, use the bread flour)
- 1 cup of milk
- Some salt
- 25grams (0.88 oz) of brewer’s yeast
You put most of the flour on a clean table making a big mountain. You make a crater in the central part of the flour mountain and you add some salt on it. You warm a little bit of water in a cup (not too much otherwise you kill the yeast) and you melt the yeast in the warm water.
Once it has completely melted you put the water inside the flour mountain and you mix it with the flour. You add one cup of milk. You add more water and you knead with your hands the dough up to obtain soft and humid dough (this is the most fun part of the recipe). You take some hand towels and you cover the dough with them to keep the temperature and help the yeast.
After 2 hours you touch the dough with a finger and if the dough bounces back up back it means that it is ready to cook!
